I’ve worked as a professional garden designer for nearly fifteen years. I started life as an illustrator of children's books, before re-training in garden and landscape design. I worked with some highly respected landscape architects and designers, on large scale, high-end projects, both in the UK and abroad, as well as on a medal winning Chelsea Flower Show garden, before starting my own business in 2009.
Having spent the past 22 years living and working in London, I’ve now relocated to Bristol, whilst continuing to work in the capital on some larger projects. Although I’ve been a city dweller for most of my adult life, childhood years were spent in Suffolk and West Wales and both places have instilled a passion for nature and landscapes.
I like to work closely with clients, providing guidance and specialist knowledge on materials, features and planting to achieve the garden they desire. Every project is viewed with fresh eyes - I try to avoid formulaic answers to gardens and make every effort to pay attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
Plants and planting are my love. I am now providing courses and workshops to help spread the word on plants and the joy they give, whilst also tackling such thorny topics as shade and drought tolerant planting.
